We Are Now Open

U. of Irasburg Seeks Professors!

Leach Public Library was established in 1926. Come on into the Leach library and say Hi to us. It’s a cozy and charming country library on the common of Irasburg, Vermont.

Sign a book, movie, etc. out that we have or you can just stay awhile with us. We would love to have your company.

The library has a computer with internet access that you can use. There is a printer as well as a scanner to scan your documents available for use.

We look forward to seeing you at our home away from home.

COVID19 Help Center
Since closing our office space to visitors, we have been working to help our community get through the COVID19 health crisis. We have identified a number of ways we will be offering aid in the coming weeks:
  • Partnering with the NEK Collaborative and other regional partners to develop a set of resources for easy access to services and opportunities. Find our COVID19 Toolkit here. Volunteer opportunities available in our area can be found here. Both documents are open for input, so please add to the list!
  • The Leach Public Library's wifi is on and available. Simply park outside on the curb and connect.
  • We are asking volunteers to sew personal protective wear for our local hospitals use. Dartmouth Hitchcock's pattern and specifications are found here. You can donate the sewn materials directly to North Country Hospital. There is also a drop off receptacle inside the rear entrance of the Old Stone House Museum office building.
  • The VT Folklife Center has an amazing online recording system you can use to record your experiences during the COVID19 health crisis. Find their portal here.
We are continuously working to positively respond to this situation as it unfolds. Keep updated on our website.
