Join Green Mountain Conservation Camp counselor Indira Castro Needham for a super fun afternoon of games and bracelet-making. This date is a half day of school. Character Development

Description: Eighth-grader Amelia Forsay is teaching a class on character development for ages 8 and up. This will include brainstorming things like: What does your character look like? Do they have any special skills/powers? What’s their personality like? What environment do they live in? Thinking about the world they live in; developing a back story; imagining their adventures! After the brainstorming would come a session on drawing the character and bringing them to life!

Fashion Fun

Description:
Andi Bittner, age 9, invites any youngster to come explore fabrics, textures, fashion design and your imagination!  Children will have a chance to design miniature outfits on stick dolls and then recreate a large scale version of their own. This class will not involve sewing.

Description: Local artist Gretchen Bittner will share the wonderful world of gel pad printing.  This is a unique style of printing that utilizes acrylic paint, a gel pad surface, texturing tools and creativity.  No two prints will ever look the same.  No artistic ability required, just a willing attitude.  Adults only.

Common Ground

Description: Irasburg has a historic village center with a handsome Common, set in a classic Northeast Kingdom landscape.Today we confront a number of challenges to maintaining and preserving the character and utility of our village center. In 2024, Irasburg citizens will work with consulting engineers to document concerns and goals in order to identify potential solutions and select preferred alternatives. The class will kick off this important town-wide discussion.
